'Remember, sow sparingly and you will reap sparingly; sown bountifully and you will reap bountifully... You will always be rich enough to be generous.' - II Corinthians 9:6-11

Where Will I Be Based?

The Placement
Placements are church-based in one of the Anglican companion dioceses. St Chad's Trust does not sponsor placements in other parts of the world.
Each volunteer will work in only one placement during his/her time overseas.
The project is open to all within the age range (18-35). Most placements will not require professional qualifications or training other than that which can be provided form within the placement itself. But whilst special skills are not a major factor in the offer of a placement, the characteristics, qualities and experience of each volunteer will be taken into account before a placement is offered. Each placement will be carefully selected so as to provide proper support and supervision for the volunteer.

Accommodation
For at least part of their time overseas volunteers will live with a church family in the parish/placement to which they have been assigned. They may, however, also be offered the opportunity to share a room or small apartment, or be asked to live in a hostel. In any of the host dioceses, the accommodation may be fairly simple but will always be safe, clean and hygienic. Volunteers are not expected to live alone, since this reduces the opportunity for interaction and can be lonely
